Anonymous asked: Daredevil once claimed that unlike other futures, Daredevil: End of Days would be canon. Does that still hold true? Because the 50th anniversary Daredevil issue sure seems to contradict it. Not to mention, establishing this series of all things as the official future of the MU is kinda short sighted. Declaring any story as being the "official" future of the MU is extremely limiting and futile given that new futures are introduced all the time that contradict others.

The only legitimate future of the Marvel Universe is next week’s comics.

Actually, what they claimed was that Daredevil: End of Days was going to do was to become canon through osmosis, similar to how Batman: The Dark Knight Returns predicted Jason Todd’s death, Bruce and Dick’s strained relationship, Batman and Superman’s strained relationship, and Batman’s overall isolation from his friends and allies, and how TDKR has continued to influence Batman media such as The Dark Knight Trilogy and Zack Snyder and Ben Affleck’s take on Batman.
