Anonymous asked: Tom, i remember a story where Nick Fury send Thor to find a spaceship who was at 3 times the speed of light (Beta bill). In that issue, Thor was able to perceive the ship moving at this speed. How is that even possible if he cant even react before quicksilver or speed demon (who barely has supersponic speed) move ?

There is a difference between traveling interdimensionally and on an interplanetary scale and quickness of action, as when you are in a fight. It’s not the same thing.

Thor is in no way a super-speedster. He’s only a God.

Agreed. Even if Thor can move at “three times the speed of light” or whatever, it doesn’t mean he can think fast enough to make such speed practical. Sure, he may have noticed Beta Ray Bill’s ship; he may also have taken three parsecs to recognize it for what it was. His brain doesn’t work nearly as fast as Quicksilver’s, or Speed Demon’s, or the Runner’s, even if his muscles theoretically can. Besides, moving that fast in an atmosphere is a great way to accidentally kill everyone on Earth unless you have an extradimensional energy force (a “speed” force, for example…?) limiting the effects of your actions.
